Advanced Atmospheric Physics
To gain an understanding of the greenhouse effect and of climate change by developing a simple climate model using only elementary physics. At the end of the lecture, students will be able to predict the temperature change caused by a changing CO2 or CH4 concentration, including water-vapour, surface-albedo, and cloud feedbacks.
Atmospheric Physics for Physicists
To provide a basic understanding of atmospheric physics and dynamics. The course is aimed at students with a bachelor’s degree in physics as preparation for the Master in Meteorology or Physics with the specialization (Schwerpunkt) „Atmospheric Physics“.
Meteorologie I
Vermittlung eines Gesamtüberblicks über die Meteorologie: elementare Gesetzmäßigkeiten von Luftdruck, Wind, Temperatur, Luftfeuchtigkeit, Wolken und Strahlung.
Physik der Atmosphäre
Verständnis der physikalischen Zusammenhänge in der Atmosphäre: Wolken, Strahlung, Klima und Klimawandel.
